A Little Rocker Oysterfeller’s History
Rocker Oysterfeller’s first opened its doors in August 2006 at the Valley Ford Hotel, bringing bold flavors and Southern hospitality to the Sonoma Coast. Inspired by Gulf Coast, Cajun, and Creole cuisines, founders Shona and Brandon built a menu rooted in their passion for fresh seafood, vibrant flavors, and warm hospitality.
In October 2017, Rocker Oysterfeller’s was featured on the '“Bay Area’s Check, Please!”, highlighting its unique blend of Southern comfort and coastal flair.
Building on its success, Rocker’s expanded in July 2024, opening its second location at historic Lucas Wharf in Bodega Bay, California. This new location continues the tradition of serving high-quality, Southern-inspired seafood while embracing the beauty and bounty of the Northern California coast.
A fun fact about Rocker’s roots—Shona grew up on Galveston Island, and her family has deep ties to the South. Her grandfather had 22 brothers and sisters scattered throughout Louisiana and Southeast Texas, which explains why Southern flavors feel like home at Rocker Oysterfeller’s.
From the beginning, Rocker Oysterfeller’s has been about more than just food—it’s about community, hospitality, and bringing people together over great meals. Whether you’re joining us at Valley Ford or Lucas Wharf, we can’t wait to welcome you to the table.
